St. Ciaran’s Services National Activity Disability Services Awards 2024 finalists

St. Ciaran’s Services in Carrick on Shannon were finalists in the National Activity Disability Services Awards 2024, which they attended on Friday 22nd March in the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. The event was hosted by sports broadcaster & journalist – Grainne McElwain. 

The awards recognize and award people, programs and disability services throughout Ireland who have a strong focus on encouraging and supporting people with disabilities to participate in physical activity and lead a healthy and active lifestyle. This nomination would not have been possible without the support and funding from the Leitrim Sports Partnership and Michelle Maguire, Leitrim Sports Inclusion Officer and we look forward to continuing to work with Leitrim Sports Partnership in the future. 

Rebecca Allen, a staff member at St. Ciaran’s won the Best Active Healthy Me Staff Lead Award. Our healthy lifestyle activities include equine therapy, swimming, dancing, walking, adaptive triathlons, kayaking, trio bike, MotoMed bike, chair yoga, parkrun. Local fun runs.
