Sunbeam Lodge (Community Group Home)


Sunbeam Lodge Community Group Home,
Summerhill, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim.

This is a relatively new facility officially opened in August 2005. This Community Group Home provides 7 day accommodation and shared care to adults with a severe to profound intellectual disability with additional severe physical disabilities.

This facility was opened based on the identified needs of 5 service users attending St Ciarans' Day Service, thus allowing them to remain living in their own local community. This specialised unit requires high staffing levels which includes RNID Nursing Staff at all times alongside an experienced Care Team.
