Sunbeam House is a specialised Unit providing individuals with Respite care who reside in Sligo/Leitrim/West Cavan area.
Admissions are on a planned basis but emergency respite is also facilitated. This facility has been specially developed to meet the needs as identified in the Needs Assessment study carried out in 200I and is constantly reviewed.

The service offers a well deserved break to families whilst at the same time providing the children with a homely atmosphere in a small group setting within the local community providing a highly specialised and well planned programme delivered by Nursing and Care Team.

The key to success of our Community Group Homes rests with appropriate levels of supervision and support staff; and all other necessary, para-medical and parental supports. Moreover, these provisions have been a very reassuring option for parents, of both children and adults with intellectual disabilities/special needs.
