    North West Parents and Friends Association is a Voluntary Organisation providing person centred services for children and adults with special needs and their families.

    We are currently seeking to recruit the following position:

    Job Title:    Staff Nurse (Preferred RNID but applications from other disciplines of Nursing will be accepted).

    Location:    St Ciaran’s Services,  Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim.

    Contract:    Permanent.

     Essential Requirements:

    • ·   Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
    • ·   Experience of working with Adults and/or Children with Intellectual Disability and Autism.
    • ·   Experience of working with people with a range of support needs to include behaviours of concern.
    • ·   Ability to lone work.
    • ·   Flexibility and willingness to work in all areas of Leitrim Services.
    • ·   Ability to work using own initiative.
    • ·   Full current driving licence.

    The positions available will require successful candidates to work with Adults/Children with varying degrees of Intellectual Disability/Autism in Day/Residential/Respite Services and will be expected to work hours which may include day time hours, evenings, night duty, and/or sleepover duty to include weekends.
